WHAT IS THE MONTHLY RENTAL OF SCOOTERS WITHOUT PERMANENT PERIOD?

It is a model of monthly subscription to a scooter with everything included and without a permanent period. You only have to select how many kilometers you want to do each month. The subscription is the most flexible and economical way to have a scooter today. The fee is automatically renewed each month without having to do anything other than enjoying your scooter. It is yours. Are you ready to travel the streets of your city on top of your new scooter?

WHAT IS RENTING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH AN OPTION TO PURCHASE?

It is a rental of a scooter on a monthly basis with everything included and with a minimum period of 6 months. Thanks to the rental of scooters for individuals you can have your own scooter with an initial investment much lower than a purchase would entail. The longer the period, the lower the monthly rate. The rest of the conditions are the same. You can rent your scooter for 6, 12, 24, 36, 48 and even 60 months depending on the model. Choose your mileage of 300 to 3,000 km per month.

IS THE PURCHASE OPTION AVAILABLE?

You have the option of renting for individuals with option to purchase where the scooter becomes your property at the end of the contract. Choose if you prefer higher entry / exit fees combined with lower monthly payments or vice versa; pay less in the entrance / exit in exchange for higher monthly payments. You decide how to pay for your next scooter.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL OF SCOOTERS?

The monthly fee includes:

- Vehicle maintenance and technical revisions

- Full risk insurance with franchise

- 24 hour road assistance

- ITV, road fund tax, registration...

- Jet helmet

 

All prices include VAT and all the arrangements already made (ITV, technical revision, registration, etc.). A single monthly payment that includes everything.

CAN I CANCEL MY RESERVATION?

You have 7 calendar days to cancel your reservation without any penalty before picking up your scooter. Send us an email to longterm@cooltra.com so we can process your withdrawal.

CAN I INCLUDE EXTRAS?

Yes, we have several extra options that you can choose in step 2 of our reservation process. Some of these extras are full-face helmet, trunk (from 26L to 42L), padlock, support for GPS/mobile, gloves, replacement vehicle etc.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS ARE AVAILABLE TO ME?

We accept any debit or credit card with a valid expiration date. You can also pay online through PayPal.

HOW IS THE PROCESS OF COLLECTING THE SCOOTER?

In the case of the monthly subscription without permanent period: once you have completed the online booking of your scooter, we will contact you to tell you the date when you can pick it up. Most scooters are delivered in approximately 48 hours after the confirmation of the reservation. In models of higher categories the deadline can be up to 7 days, but we will do everything possible to deliver the scooter in the shortest time.

In case of rentals for individuals with a permanent period the approximate deadline is between 2 and 4 weeks if we have to deliver a new scooter. The same goes for rentals with an option to purchase.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR COLLECTION AND RETURN?

The service hours depend on each store. You can check our schedules depending on the country and city in this link. The online reservation works 24 hours a day. In any case, we will let you know when you can pick it up / return it when we contact you once the reservation is made.

HOW MANY KILOMETERS CAN I DO EACH MONTH?

We have different monthly mileage options to adapt to your needs. The kilometer range varies according to the model. You can usually choose between 300, 500, 750 and 1000 kilometers each month in the case of the monthly subscription without permanent period.

 

In the rental services for individuals and rentals with purchase option, the kilometers that you can contract for go from 300 to 3,000.

What you need to rent a scooter?

WHAT AGE DO I HAVE TO BE TO RENT A COOLTRA SCOOTER?

You can rent scooters with Cooltra from age 18. The cc that you will have at your disposal will always depend on your driving license

WHAT KIND OF DRIVING LICENSE DO I NEED?

To rent a scooter with Cooltra you must have a valid driver's license in the country where you are going to rent it.

IS ANY TYPE OF DEPOSIT NECESSARY?

Yes, the deposit must be paid with credit card at the time of collection of the scooter. This will be returned to you at the end of the contract if there were no unforeseen events with the scooter. The bond varies according to the model you choose.

WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO RENT A SCOOTER?

You need:

- DNI/NIE or passport

- Register or proof of residence

- Driver's license: valid for the chosen model and in the EU (in the case of 125cc, the A1 scooter license or the B car license with at least 3 years of experience.)

- A credit card to pay the deposit

WHAT IS MORE PROFITABLE IN THE LONG-TERM, AN ELECTRIC SCOOTER OR A GASOLINE ONE?

Both the consumption and vehicle maintenance of an electric scooter are always lower than that of a gasoline scooter, around 80%. You just have to compare the price of electricity with gasoline, taking into account that we can recharge our electric scooter in the existing points in the cities for free.

If we make a quick calculation we see that a scooter that does 20 km daily on average during the 7 days of the week is equivalent to an expenditure of gasoline of about € 450 per year. All this without taking into account the changes in the price of crude oil that always tends to be upwards. An electric scooter of the same cc is capable of doing the same annual kilometers for just €50, resulting in a saving of €400 each year.

In addition, electric scooters have a smaller vehicle maintenance since they do not need oil changes and the engine's engineering is not as complex. 

HOW CAN I CHARGE AN ELECTRIC SCOOTER?

You have several options:

1. Our Askoll scooter can be charged in any normal outlet. Charge it at home or at the office! Thanks to its removable batteries, you can take them off and put them to charge anywhere you want, in any plugs. Just like a mobile!

2. Take advantage of public charging spots: as a Cooltra customer, we will deliver the charge card you need completely free so that you can leave the scooter at any surface spot in your city, for a period of up to 8 hours. . Check all the charging spots here

3. In the city of Barcelona, you can use the B:SM car parks to charge it for free. As a Cooltra customer, you will benefit from a special agreement with the B:SM car parks, being able to hire a parking space + electric vehicle charge from 30€/month. You decide which zone suits you best! Ask us.

4. If you have parking / a garage with an electric plug you can charge there, or you can even install your own private charging point. 

Do you still have doubts?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RETURN THE DEPOSIT AFTER TERMINATION OF THE CONTRACT?

When the scooter is returned we will review its condition. If it is in the same condition as when we delivered it to you, we will refund the deposit at that very moment. Keep in mind that, depending on your bank, it can take 5-10 business days until you see it reflected in your statement.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT OR THE SCOOTER IS STOLEN?

In case of accident, the insurer will be responsible for compensating the third party involved, but as a customer you must pay the amount pertaining to the repair of the scooter, having as a maximum amount the established excess. In case of theft, the excess must be paid. That excess varies depending on the contracted model.

WHAT IF I EXCEED THE CONTRACTED MONTHLY KM?

In case of exceeding the monthly km contracted, an extra charge per km exceeded will be applied. The amount varies depending on the model and category of the scooter.

If you want to modify the mileage for the next few months, you can do so at any time.

CAN I CANCEL THE CONTRACT AT ANY TIME?

Of course. You can cancel the contract whenever you want. In this case, a 25% fee of the pending fees will apply. This procedure will be managed directly with your contact in the store.
